raised in Hawaii and married to a haole

I heard about this cute club on the radio a few weeks ago. What a cute concept since I’m Japanese born ( yonsei ) 3rd generation and raised in Hawaii and married to a haole- from California.

Fortunately we haven’t had any difficult culture differences since my husband loves Japanese foods and is open to try anything although my in-laws haven’t been completely cultured yet. They have definitely adopted our tradition of taking your shoes/slippers at the door, as well as bringing a ” omiyage ” ( gift ) when you’re invited to someones house. There also bringing gifts.

Anyways, just wanted to drop a note to let you know what I thought. Does your club do any fun functions or events?
