Hi Ladies -
Read your article and loved it!!!!
I can totally relate to all the stories. I realize your organization is casual and non-committal, but I think it could really take off as a support group for all who have entered biracial asian/white marriages. Although there’s lots to joke about, it can be quite challenging integrating two cultures.
I’m currently President of the MOMS Club of Waipahu/Aiea, Hawaii…a support group for Stay at Home Moms (we have 6 chapters on the island). After my life as a Stay at Home ends when my kids get into school, I’ll be seeking a place where I can meet friends with similar values and life experiences.
I think something like your organization would be great.
I don’t know if you have activities or even want to move in that direction, but I bet a once a month Ladies Night Out would be a great and easy way to grow the organization and net work and meet friends.
The fact that everyone would have something in common that is such a great part of their lives would be so fun to share with others.
Let me know if you need any help moving in that direction, I would be happy to offer my support.
MOMS Club Love and Aloha,
Jennifer Metrose
