I can totally relate! :)

Aloha,

We usually go home twice a year to Maui. The first time he came home with me, he was shocked that our family get togethers took place in the garage with old picnic tables with rolled paper tablecloths and plastic chairs (with names on them) and lots of local food instead of in the house with everyone sitting at the table.

Occasionally, we’d have something weird on the table like a pig’s head that we just rotisseried. He almost grossed out when all my cousins started picking at the skin.

He also still can’t get used to the idea that when you greet people at a party, you have to go around and kiss everybody hello. When it’s time to leave, it takes about 2 hours to say goodbye.

Thanks for the fun website.

Christine Johnson

p.s. I laughed so hard about the one that brings the big suitcase of gifts and no clothes. I can totally relate! :)
