Dear Fellow Asian Wives,
I too married a white man! Here’s a submission for your “Rants” page.
My haole hubby is straight from the motherland- Western Europe. It gets no whiter than that. Claus introduced me to wine and cheese as a daily part of the diet, and associated with it, a whole new vocabulary. Now I know what a “cruvinet” is. I’ve also converted to dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate, and only buy butter, not margarine.
Here is the rant part. He would NOT take a shower at night for the first couple years we were together. In his logic, there was no difference between showering at night or morning- as long as one does it once every 24 hours. He felt I got just as dirty during 8 hours of sleeping, as he did during 8 hours of working. Sister Asians, DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE TO YOU?!? It took a number of fights to get him to acquiesce to showering at night.
