Dear haole hubby club, these are lessons I was taught by my Asian wife which are worth sharing .. some of these I had to learn hard way .. but I not too smart
1. Even when I am wrong, I am right (referring to Asian wife)!!
2. There are two kines of money my (her) money and our money (which is also kinda her money).
3. You haole hubby, may write checks, but nevah forget, I audit checkbook!
4. You are also supposed to hide some money so you can suprise me with a gift.
5. (when arguing) Haole hubby remember, just because I am right (referring to argument), it doesn’t mean you should give up easily.
6. It is my (Asian wife) right to go to Vegas with the girls … we no gamble that much and we like to let guys look at us a little, just to reassure ourselves that we still are drop dead gorgeous even if we had our 60th birthday already.
7. You can try to make Kimchee jige for me, but you nevah gonna get it exaclty rite .. remember it is not supposed to be a soup!!! More like the kine stew .. thick!!! And, Kimchee is one of the four basic food groups .. so you bettah like it (I do)
8. Haole husbands are always a work in progress.
9. I probabably won’t divorce my haole husband because it would be too much pilikia and too much humbug to train one nother one …
10. It is all right for me to yell across a crowded room or restaurant, “Hey Haole!” when I need you to come. But, the reverse does not apply.
11. When all else fails refer back to nbr 1
Yup, we only been married 31 years and I still have a lot to learn.
