Advise for American Man marrying older chinese woman

To whom this concern,

I plan to marry a Chinese woman who is 35 and I am 30. I have lived in China for 5 years, great job, secure, and fluent in Chinese. However, the family who I have not met yet is completely against the prospect because of the age difference. The stereotype that all foreigners are playboys and not safe after the age of 45 is being implied here. Has anyone in the Haole Hubby Club been through a similar experience before? Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,

Armenian hubby and me, the Taiwanese wife!

I am so happy to find this site. I’ve dated many different ethnicities and so has my hubby. So we weren’t looking or used to a “certain” type.

Hubby’s the haole, I’m the Chinese/Hawaiian wife

Our story can be like some, but not like many.

Hubby’s the haole, I’m the Chinese/Hawaiian wife. He’s lived in O’ahu for almost twenty years, while I’ve lived for only 5. He uses chopsticks, I can’t. He can make spam musubi – I can’t. I can speak Spanish, and he can speak Japanese. See folks, sometimes you can become more asian/local by marrying haole!! J
